About Your Instructor
Rachel Wong
My name is Rachel Wong, and I am the Certified Kumon Instructor at the Kumon Guelph – Clair & Farley location. I am excited to partner with you on your child’s educational journey!
My passion for the Kumon Method comes from its unique ability to go beyond traditional tutoring. I first witnessed the effectiveness of the Kumon Method when my parents enrolled me into the Kumon program when I was in Grade 6. Rather than simply providing answers, the program focuses on developing the critical skill of self-learning. Through this process, I was able to learn how to think independently, discover solutions on my own, and grow into a confident student. Thanks to the solid foundation I developed through Kumon, high school math felt easy and manageable.
I later joined this very center as a Center Assistant at the age of 19, where I had the opportunity to work alongside an elite instructor for 14 years. Over the years, I had the opportunity to witness countless student success stories. As my time at the center continued, I became directly involved in many students’ success stories. This experience inspired me to become an instructor so I could help more students unlock their full potential and progress beyond their current school grade level.
I believe my journey from a Kumon student to Kumon Center Chief Assistant has strengthened both my understanding of the program and my ability to effectively deliver the Kumon Method to your child. I look forward to meeting you and your child(ren), and working together to help them develop their abilities to their fullest potential.
