Hello, I’m Ricky, Instructor of the Kumon Manteca South center at the Promenade Shops.

I chose to be a Kumon instructor because I believe self-confidence is just as important as academic success. When a child believes in themselves, everything else begins to follow.

With over 32 years of experience as a Semiconductor Test Engineer and an educational background in both Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communications Engineering, I bring a structured, patient, and individualized approach to learning — meeting each child exactly where they are and guiding them step by step.

Kumon is also deeply personal to me. My wife and grown-up kids have experienced the program firsthand - both as assistants and Math/Reading students. I’ve seen how it builds not only strong academic skills, but also confidence, discipline, and independence thru constant practice.

At our center, we help children develop the skills and the belief that they can succeed on their own.
