About Your Instructor
Daniel Parish
Mr. Daniel graduated Summa Cum Laude from BYU–Idaho, where he developed a deep passion for helping others learn. During his academic journey, he frequently organized study sessions and found great fulfillment in helping others understand concepts they once believed were beyond their reach. These experiences shaped his belief that every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and structure.
Mr. Daniel grew up nearby in McKinney and is proud to serve families in the DFW community. He and his wife homeschool their five sons and have personally experienced the value of a strong educational foundation. Their family has also navigated the unique challenges of Type 1 Diabetes, as both Mr. Daniel and his oldest son live with T1D. This experience has strengthened his discipline, patience, and perseverance, and deepened his empathy for students who face challenges.
He has never allowed diabetes to limit what he can achieve and believes that circumstances do not define a person’s potential. This perspective shapes his mission as a Kumon Instructor: to help every child build confidence, overcome obstacles, and realize they are capable of accomplishing far more than they may believe possible.
As both an instructor and a parent, Mr. Daniel understands the challenges families face and the importance of developing strong academic skills, confidence, and independence. His goal is to create a supportive learning environment where every child can thrive and unlock their full potential.
