About Your Instructor
Adam Lent
As the Instructor and proud owner of the Kumon Center of Wappingers Falls, I’m honored to build upon the center’s 25+ year legacy of helping children grow into confident, capable learners. My mission is to not only preserve what has made this center special but to bring an even greater experience to our students, families, staff, and the broader community.
I began my career in education, earning a master’s certificate in elementary education from UNC Charlotte and teaching kindergarten before transitioning into the aerospace industry, where I led teams and managed complex programs. Now, after two decades of leadership experience and as a longtime Kumon parent myself, I’ve returned to my passion—supporting children’s academic and personal growth through Kumon.
At our center, I create individualized study plans for each student, closely monitor their progress, and emphasize accuracy, time management, and steady improvement. I work hand-in-hand with our dedicated staff and partner with parents to ensure every child has the support and encouragement they need to thrive—not only in school but in life.
Outside the classroom, I stay actively involved in our community as a board member for the Wappingers Warriors Youth Lacrosse program, where I help guide young athletes and give back to a community that’s given so much to my own family.
I’m committed to making the Kumon Center of Wappingers Falls a place where every student feels known, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
